Collier
County offers excellent back-country, on/near-shore or offshore fishing
Before fishing, check local regulations regarding saltwater licenses.
Licenses can be obtained at The Collier County Hunting, Fishing and Vessel
Registration office in the Tax Collector's Office, Building C1, Airport
Road & US41 East, or at most bait and tackle shops.
When fishing in Florida, be careful to avoid oyster bed shoals and sand
bars.
Also keep a sharp lookout for manatees, a very slow moving mammal. Many
die from collisions with speeding boats

Free
access for many local species of fish.
No
fishing license is needed.
Fishing Pier Ordinances are posted at the Pier.
Bait, fishing tackle rentals, fish cleaning stations are available.
Food, Refreshments, telephones and rest rooms are accessible.
The Pier is lighted for all-night fishing.
One can use metered parking available for those without a beach parking
permit.
Launch
your boat at Naples Landings. 9th Street South.
A public boat launch. There's three ramps for easy access. Metered, tow
vehicle/trailer parking spaces.
Important: Observe posted speed and no-wake zones in Naples Bay.
Ask local tackle shops for navigational charts, maps and lists of reefs
and wrecks with LORAN and GPS coordinates, free tide tables and other
information.
Boat Rentals are available, however, most do not allow offshore travel.
For
the novice, or even experienced, arrange for a fishing charter boat.
Captains are US Coast Guard licensed.
Will supply correct baits, lures, licenses and tackle.
Know the best fishing areas, saving you time and money.
Know local water, weather and provide safety to insure a safe, fun trip.
Will provide a great day on the water and perhaps fillet the fish for
your dinner.

These free publications provide information regarding artificial reefs,
fishing ethics, color fish identification charts, fish size, daily limits
and prohibited activities.
The regulations are specific and complex but will help you determine the
type of fish and whether the size, season and quantity are acceptable.
